1. This is despicable and the state law was created because of Wasilla! All articles I've

read refer to the Police Chief in regard to this but not Palin's involvement. Was she in charge of this?

4. Looks like it..
Eight years ago, complaints about charging rape victims for medical exams in Wasilla prompted the Alaska Legislature to pass a bill -- signed into law by Knowles -- that banned the practice statewide.

"There was one town in Alaska that was charging victims for this, and that was Wasilla," Knowles said

A May 23, 2000, article in Wasilla's newspaper, The Frontiersman, noted that Alaska State Troopers and most municipal police agencies regularly pay for such exams, which cost between $300 and $1,200 apiece.

"(But) the Wasilla police department does charge the victims of sexual assault for the tests," the newspaper reported.

It also quoted Wasilla Police Chief Charlie Fannon objecting to the law. Fannon was appointed to his position by Palin after her dismissal of the previous police chief. He said it would cost Wasilla $5,000 to $14,000 a year if the city had to foot the bill for rape exams.

13. What a way to discourage..
reporting a rape. This is a woman who can stand by and watch as children are abused. She would only express concern if there was something in it for her.

What a horror.

3. A policy so reprehensible that the Alaska Legislature banned it statewide.
Sarah Palin is the very antithesis of both feminism and leadership.

Recommended.

7. That which you do to the least among us...
According to the religion Palin claims to follow, things done to the least among us are done directly to the Christ she claims to worship. Her claims seem to be false.

20. Send it to everyone... men are outraged by it too
Men have mothers, sisters, daughters, girfriends, wives, female friends and co-workers and they would be just as horrified to learn were charged for a rape kit in the event they were raped as women would.

16. It has legs, just needs work...
Preparation, preparation, preparation, preparation,
timing, timing, timing, timing.

First cook, then the proof comes in the eating.

yet you may not be the one to feast, thats all.
does that matter so much to you?

work it AzDar, it has legs, just work it til its ready.
you are the chef, prepare the feast.

The only mayor in the Alaska callous enough to require
rape victims to pay $1400 for their own rape kit, a practice so
degrading and repulsive an outrage that it was outlawed.
Who was that, AzDar? Who?

17. If true, it makes one wonder just why she'd want rape kits done in the first place...
.... perhaps so that the rapists would be sure to have visitation rights and a voice to prevent any conceived child from being aborted?

(I hope it's not true.)

18. What has Palin and her ilk done to protect children born of rape from the perp?
Considering they want women and girls who are raped to not abort. Has any politican who says rape victims should be forced to carry the pregnancy *ever* written any legislation to protect the woman or girl and the offspring from the criminal who impregnanted the mother?
