SFGate: Sweeter than your average hockey mom - pic

Sweeter than your average hockey mom: Life hasn't been kind to Red. The pit bull once owned by Michael Vick survived untold abuse only to be stricken with numerous tumors. Momma, a cat with her own health issues, is keeping him company at the SPCA of Monterey County, Calif., while he undergoes chemotherapy.

4. It's a cone restraint used when animals have surgery
and you don't want the animal to pick at or disturb the affected area.

Why you do this to me, kadie?

7. Sorry.
The picture really touched me, so I had to share.

So sad yet so sweet. These two special animals were lucky to find each other in their time of need.

6. My husband calls it a satellite dish. LOL
Keeps the cat from biting or getting to a spot that needs to heal.

10. yeah, put the baby on the tv and you don't need cable
:silly:

We call it an Elizabethan collar - my pup, winston, had to wear one for months after he was hit by a car and had to have surgery to try to fix his hip and pelvis - he was supposed to get the other hip fixed once the other one healed, but I couldn't bring myself to hurt him that way again.

He waddles, but he doesn't writhe in pain trying to get that damn thing off to bite his pain away. :(
