5. To bad that national debt graph doesn't include the bailout for the macs...

My understanding is that the US is currently consuming 20 million barrels per day - I checked and most info I can find on the Internet agrees with that - e.g. here: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2174rank.html and here.

Are my numbers wrong?

6. I'm currently putting together a documentary on this very subject..
it varies. I would safely say it's in the 21 million barrels a day, but it does vary. The variable amount would be 19 to 24 million barrels a day.
