Don't miss Bill Maher's program - on several more times this
week on HBO. It should be mandatory watching. It was totally unbelievable!
I will never miss one of his shows this year - he's loving this!

3. I never watch it.
I simply can not stand Maher. I would rather listen to a Palin speech than that snarky little turd.

7. Congrats. You Missed A First-Rate Show Last Night

You can catch it in reruns later in the week, if you can bring yourself to do so.....

11. It was GOOD because many of the most often heard talking points were SHATTERED.
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 11:00 AM by Madrone
Not only that - shattered in a way that should connect the dots for anyone not really understanding what's going on.

One perfect example is the whole "community organizer" thing. Michael Steele kept ridiculing that position and Obama for for including it as part of his resume. Kerry Washington let him have it - about how that's not the TOTAL of his experience, but that it was the beginning of his life as a civil servant, and that it COUNTS as part of who he is and what he believes in, and it helped shape who he is now and the person he will be as president. Well ol' Michael just continued on with the ridiculing meme.

Later Michael start whining about how everyone is being mean to little ol' Sarah because she's a mom and former PTA member. The other members take him to task on that - stating that those things do NOT qualify someone to hold the second highest position in the land!! Michael back-pedals and starts asserting that those things ARE important because they are things that helped shape Sarah as and individual, and gives her more perspective to take with her to the WH. No one called him out for being a FUCKING HYPOCRITE OF THE HIGHEST ORDER but it was SO obvious. He looked like a total douchebag. Typical "our standards apply to everyone BUT us, Republican bullshit. :D

Of course that's one of many examples from my rough memory of watching it last night - you really must watch it if you can. At the very least, download the mp3 from the website and listen to it!

10. Saw the rerun this morning. Michael Steele came off
sounding like an idiot. And geez, those "New Rules" were pathetic, the right wing really has no sense of humor.

12. The Republican Conventioneers' "New Rules" Were Godawful.....
....but Maher's "New Rules" at the end of the show were great.

And you're right about Michael Steele; what an insufferable dipshit. He directed that one insult directly at Maher, really below-the-belt stuff---I actually thought Maher was going to come across the table and slap him into next week.

Great show; try to see it if you missed it the first time.....
