3. Reagan was a "rancher"
GHWB was a Texas oil man
GWB was a texas rancher/oilman
McCain was a war hero

republicans are all about smoke & mirrors & story

POW does not equal "hero".. it's surviving..something we all could do if we had to.. he had to.

Concentration camp survivors do not describe themselves as, or are they described by anyone, as "heroes".

Incest survivors are not described as "heroes"

People lost in the wilderness and then found are not "heroes"

McCain is not a war hero..he was not a jet fighter plane pilot.

4. Sarah Bunyon
That stove, now, she were a grand one. An acre long, taller than a scrub pine, and when she was warm, she melted the snow for about twenty miles around. The men logging in the vicinity never had to put on their jackets 'til about noon on a day when Sarah Bunyan wanted flapjacks.

It was quite a site to see, that cook of Sarah Bunyan's making flapjacks. Cookie would send four of the boys up with a side of hog tied to each of their snowshoes, and they'd skate around up there keeping the griddle greased while Cookie and seven other men flipped flapjacks for Sarah Bunyan. Took them about an hour to make enough flapjacks to fill herup. The rest of us had to wait our turn.

6. Pat Buchanan (of all people) said the GOP are running a campaign not on ideas or policy, but ...
... personal histories.

So, it would seem he got one right.
