Some potentially interesting stuff on Track Palin, the son shipping off to Iraq on 9/11...

I am not trying to start any rumors, but just wanted to share some information that IF true, would also be a little interesting to this already interesting GOP ticket choice.

A good friend of mine taught for several years in Wasilla, AK. He has no recollection of, or experience with, Palin or her kids. He got curious though and called some of his friends back in Alaska to see what they thought of Palin and if there were any goods on her that hadn't surfaced yet.

One of his friends said that Track is apparently joining the military because he had a few run-ins with the law and a judge said it's either prison or the military, so the military it was.

I'm not going to put any stock in it until it is substantiated, just as I didn't put much stock in the babygate brouhaha. But, as we saw very quickly, once pressure was applied we did get verification that something was up, even if it wasn't to the lurid degree some thought lurked behind the identity of little Trig's mother. But, there was something there.

Arrest records are public records I believe. If there are any resourceful people out there reading this (i.e. journalists, Alaskans, etc...), it should be easy enough to discount if this is a bogus account.

3. Oh, you can bet there's an invasion of Alaska going on

right now. A surge. There will be about 5 journalists for every Alaskan by the end of the week. We'll know more about the Palins than the Palins know about themselves.
McCain didn't vet Sarah Palin adequately.
He let a rightwing cabal convince him he could solidify the evangelicals while attracting a large number of the Hillary voters. McCain doesn't know this women. McCain is a former fighter pilot. He wanted Joe Lieberman in this fight with him. And he let himself be manipulated by the extremists within his party. He's lost control of this campaign. And Palin is the result.
I just don't understand why a man who is a former fighter pilot, who understands the need to have a tried and true loyalist by his side, would goo with a person he barely knows.
