So August has now tied June in being the months with the most losses in Afghanistan.
With 45 coalition soldiers dead in August and 45 dead in June.
So what does this mean? That we are "winning" because we are "engaging the enemy"? Remember when they said that more casualties in Iraq means the surge is working?
Meanwhile we "only" lost 22 soldiers in Iraq this month (a relative low compared to some months). So does that mean we are not winning there (because if we would be loosing less)? Or maybe we have won already?
Can anyone explain to me what the fuck is going on?
I regularly check the lists of Iraq and Afghan war casualties at icasualties.org but for the last couple of days I get this message:
"This web site at icasualties.org has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences."
Has anybody else seen that?
There is a link on the lower right to "Ignore this warning". I have been reluctant to click on that. Would that continue me to icasualties? Is the warning legit? This site was attacked earlier this year and was redesigned. It has been provided a real service and it is a shame for someone to screw with it?
