Something nice to tell DUers about riding out Gustav

We were listening to Power 106fm Friday night and people were calling in from everywhere. The host was also reading email and text messages. Two overseas messages really touched me. The first was from an American couple in NOLA who wished us all the best and said they'd be coming back to visit Jamaica again and thanked us for supporting them after Katrina and the other was a couple from Florida who wished us better luck than they had during Fay.

I wish all my American friends safe passage during Gustav. Even the worst Rethugs supporters don't deserve the amount of water surrounding this storm. I hope it's not too bad but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I'm delighted that it messed up their convention. :D

No, even Repugs don't deserve to be hit twice like this in 3 years in a city that is unprepared for it thanks to their own party's mismanagement and thievery.

As for messing up their convention, don't bet on that. They're going to milk it for every soundbyte they can.

You just know Stupid and Evil were looking for an excuse to avoid speaking to the rabble.
