But CNN's website doesn't mention it. Take a look.:

2. Small bit on the 150 who attacked the police
Colombia was the third country on the president's five-nation tour of Latin America. He began his journey in Brazil, flew to Colombia from Uruguay and was headed later Sunday to Guatemala. Bush last stops in Mexico before returning to Washington on Wednesday.(Bush's itinerary)

Despite close ties between Uribe and Bush, the U.S. president's visit has generated considerable criticism and strong protests.

About a mile (1.6 kilometers) away from the presidential palace that was the site for all Bush's events, some 2,000 protesters chanted "Down with Bush" and burned American flags.

About 150 of them broke away, attacking riot police with rocks and metal barriers and ripping down lampposts. Some 200 helmeted police in full body armor responded with water cannons to reclaim the street. The president's convoy passed about 200 yards (183 meters) away. No injuries were immediately reported.

Friday night, a concert by former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters featured a big balloon of a pig that said "Patron Bush, Welcome to your Colombian Ranch."

7. Sounds like quite a display. I hope they don't insulate
the chimperor from this. He needs to get good and scared about how the world views him.

8. Translation from PRspeak to english:
"About 150 of them broke away, attacking riot police with rocks and metal barriers and ripping down lampposts. Some 200 helmeted police in full body armor responded with water cannons to reclaim the street."

"After being struck with batons and verbally abused, several protesters fought back."

Rock and bottle tour indeed, he he he

13. I'm not happy about anyone getting hurt at all. But at some point
reality can get pretty concrete and inescapable. Those people aren't on the street because Pelosi sent them there. They hate Bubble Boy and the suffering his mafia's policies have imposed on them.

3. It was broadcast as part of the hourly "update" at 2pm ET
Showed video of Columbian police types in their Michelin Man riot costumes. Crowds were carrying anti-Bush signs and were being "controlled" by the police types.

Not pretty.

9. I f I were a cop in one of these countries
I think I'd find it really hard to do my job. I wonder if Bushco hasn't somehow privatized the world's police already because if I were a Colombian cop I'd be like. "No, you stop, don't run past me like that and flip over that Presidential Limo. Bad Colombian! You'd be in real trouble if I caught you but you look fast so I won't bother, but you stop it now"

10. Speaking strictly as someone one generation away from El Salvador
some of those places are REALLY polarized. So, the scenario you wrote is totally possible. On the other hand, your squad (or whatever those thingys are called) could be split right down the middle. Not good if you need back up.

I only hope that Cheney continues to ignore Latin America so the lefties can continue to consolidate their power. :)

Chavez is doing his part too. I wonder if the chimperor could fill a stadium in Argentina and speak to them for almost four cheering hours like Chavez did yesterday. He had nothing nice to say about el senorcito, or the little man as he called Bush said Bush no longer reeks of sulfur but of failure.
