You know damned well the oil companies will be taking every advantage of the weather to give it to you right in yer (g)ass.

I filled two cars today at the Costco. $3.45 for regular. That's the rock bottom cheapest in the area.

I bet anything it tickles four bux by the end of the week.

3. Good point.
I've only been filling it half-way, because the price keeps dropping. But after Katrina, didn't it go up like a buck a gallon??

4. Immediately following Katrina
In my area gas jumped from around $2.59 up to $3.11. I was lucky enough to fill up at $2.69 before the real gouging began, and didn't need to refill until prices ebbed.

This time, I filled up Thursday at $3.43 per gallon. Today I noticed prices have already crept up to $3.59-$3.65 or so, but I imagine the real spike hasn't yet begun. I hope my tank of gas lasts until the whole crisis ends.
