Surely McConehead told his fellow POWs about the "cross in the dirt" episode
when it happened, or soon after.. To have withheld something that important would have been a disservice to the fellow POWs.. To know that there was a Christian guard, would have been invaluable to THEM , as well..

All we need is to round up his fellow POWs, and ask them to tell us about how happy they were when John told them about his experience with that guard:evilgrin:

Where ARE his fellow POWs anyway? I don't remember seeing ANY of them swarming to his side to back him up..

If I had been in captivity with a group of people for an extended period of time, I would surely consider those people to be as close as family, and would be sure they were involved in the important things in my life...from that moment on...especially how he loves to tell about how they saved his life and nursed him back to health...

where ARE those guys, John??

A million dollar reward wouldn't be enough to bring them out of the woodwork.
