John Corsi, author of Obama Nation, and his hit pieces against the Catholic Church

I think Corsi's hit pieces against the Catholic Church need to be broadcast loud and clear. I don't think Corsi's opinions about the Catholic Church are things that McCain needs to be associated with. I'd like to see McCain denounce Corsi. I don't think these remarks are particularly pleasing to middle of the road and conservative Catholics.

1. Paul Waldman of Media Matters called him out on that on Larry King

Corsi just shrugged and said he had "apologized" for his comments. He was a little impatient with Waldman when Waldman held Corsi to the same standard Corsi had used in his scurrilous little book about Obama. Corsi seems to think it's not fair to use his own words against him, even when they're given their full context. Because, see, they were "a few quips." Corsi hasn't mentioned whether he's returned the paychecks he received for writing his quips.

Glad to see Catholics calling on McCain to denounce this guy. There's a lot of Cathlics out there, ol' man McCain can't afford to alienate them.
