GA-Sen: Chambliss Leads by 6 in New Poll
The Mellman Group for the DSCC (8/6-10, likely voters):

Jim Martin (D): 36
Saxby Chambliss (R-inc): 42
Allen Buckley (L): 3
(MoE: ±4%)
Very nice numbers for Jim Martin. That's is what some in the biz would like to call "striking distance".

Chambliss' job approval rating is only 37-38 -- soft numbers for an incumbent.

Yeah, Chambliss has raised a ton of money, but this is a race that the DSCC has their eyes on, and we could see the committee getting frisky here.

2. I suggest this is a GREAT TIME to promote the attached video
of an interview of the CEO of Cyberinth, a co. that tests electronic security systems like ATM's, credit card systems, etc. He actually explaines how the 2002 election was stolen!

Here's the DU link to a video of the entire interview. It took about 4 minutes for me to download it, but it was well worth the effort! If we could get this publicized, especially in Ga., Sax would be history!

3. That's a huge number considering he just won a close race in a runoff last week.
Many of those that voted against Martin might still be bitter about their candidate losing.

4. In GA pre-election polls are absolutely meaningless.
In 02, Barnes was up 11% four days before the election and lost by 5%. Cleland was up by 5% and lost by 8%.

It certainly hasn't gotten harder to manipulate the Diebold machines in 6 years.
