Seen on baseball cap on flight to Dallas:
"It's OK to hate liberals"

Kid about 16 years old. Wanted to tell him it's also okay to hate ignorant creeps with excrement for brains, but he wouldn't have understood.

2. It's a free country, and idiots are free to expresss neandetthal opinions,
and free to be despised and ridiculed for doing so.

"I hate" is the new American slogan.

11. hmmm. I wonder what you could put for "hate" the way people put hearts for "love" in slogans
like "I Love NY"?

9. Yep. I also have a Tee shirt of Poppy and the Idiot with the words...
Dumb and Dumber

under their pictures.

I have worn that one on several flights.

The really funny part is that because of the way that I look and the fact that I generally upgrade to First Class, TSA personnel and travelers alike generally assume that I am "Somebody".

The reaction is usually positive. The Cretins don't mess with me.

I had a pilot at O'Hare (AA) invite me into the cockpit while we were still at the jetway and had a bunch of pictures taken of me and the crew.

17. I have no idea how to go about doing that on DU.
I don't even know how to email photographs.

Even though I have all the toys, using them is far beyond my abilities and/or intelligence.

I have only one picture of me, playing a guitar, that someone sent me in a format that I can email. I also learned how to print it out (although I sometimes need help with that) so I can send it to people along with a CD of the band.

19. It's surprisingly easy - go to Photobucket
Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 06:38 PM by leveymg
Basically, if you have an all-in-one scanner you an convert your photos into jpeg images on the attached computer, and e-mail them to Photobucket (or one of the similar on-line image hosting services), and put them up on-line. All you have to do is cut and paste the asigned URL into the body of a DU posting.

If you have the images on a digital camera, it's even easier. Just download the images onto your computer, and e-mail directly to Photobucket.

You can practice by going to GOOGLE images, and cut and paste the URL into DU postings. Do it once, and it's easy after that.

I also was a Luddite, once. Still a technophobe fellow-traveler. Cheers. :toast:

20. My head would probably explode.
Hell, I just surfed around DU for maybe three years before I figured out that anyone could just sign up and post. I though it was some sort of private club or something. My Crazy ex-Girlfriend finally showed me how to do it.

Only about a month age, I found out (by mistake) what the Backspace key could do.

I don't know how to create a Folder on a computer or what to even do with crap like "My Documents". How people put attachments on email is a complete mystery to me.

I only use this thing to send and receive emails and go on DU.

Wonder if he would've gotten onto the flight with that one.

It's okay to hate liberals and dark people, but never be critical of our glorious leader. They would probably have you tagged as a terrorist.

14. You should have asked him if he hated the Founding Fathers.
They were all considered very Liberal, especially for their time. Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and the 2nd Amendment were all far out concepts not embraced by the conservatives of that time.

Kind of interesting that the same conservatives who were against those freedoms back then are the same conservatives who are against those freedoms today.

28. I really considered telling the flight crew how offensive I found the hat
I'm sort of kicking myself for not doing it. If one of us had worn a hat expressing similar sentiments going the other way, we'd probably have been booted off the flight.

Closed up on a plane with those people, who knows what kind of scene they would have made if you had complained to the flight crew?

Edited on Mon Aug-11-08 08:00 PM by seabeyond
that is who i am, you hate me too?

it has stopped each one of them. the stuttering starts. no, no of course not. you arent them. you are different

and i dont let them off the hook

no, i am not different. that is who i am. do you hate me?

if i had seen the cap, i would have looked the kid in the eyes and asked him. do you hate me? and then stand there with a smile and the love i project and let him try to tell me what he meant by the cap. but i would have certainly addressed it.

these are what i see as wonderfully god given opportunities that i do in love adn non aggressive total confrontation. wearing this cap the kid is asking for it.
