Gitmo moving to Saudi Arabia - not a joke

http://www.daily.pk/world/worldnews/84-worldnews/6169-saudi-arabia-prisons-to-replace-guantanamo-bay.html

Saudi Arabia prisons to replace Guantanamo bay

Saudi Arabia is to build five modern prisons in the kingdom to replace US Guantanamo detention facility, a new report has revealed.
Jordanian daily quoted unnamed sources as saying that US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Saudi officials are cooperating to construct the prisons which are to replace Guantanamo and US secret prisons in Europe.

Riyadh is to spent about two billion Saudi Rials for the project which can accommodate up to 18000 inmates, they added.

Bin laden firm and with the help of German engineers will build the prisons in the Saudi cities of Mecca, Haer, Demmam, and Qasim.

The US has been under pressure due to violating individual rights in its detention camps in Europe and Guantanamo Bay.

UN human rights investigators have urged the White House to shut down the Guantanamo camp.

10. They need to get Gitmo torturees out of US control in case of regime change at home
That way Cheney can still get torture and snuff films to get his rocks off.

20. We HAVE to STOP this.

send this to every local news station and everyone needs to call their Congress people. And tell them you do not want your "tax dollars" to pay for prisons to be build in another country and to pay for tortue. (country of Christians.. what a bunch of bullshit!)

Our group here in Minneapolis, MN. tackle torture at the top, ordered and received 100 orange jumpsuits and will be standing in small park a block from RNC.

:grr: :banghead:

21. Beam Me Up Scotty...
Let me get this right...it was the presence of American troops in Saudi Arabia that was Bin Laden's justification for the 9/11 attacks...we removed the troops shortly there after (and moved them into Kuwait and then Iraq)...and now we're going back? But then when it comes to draconian, no one does it like the Saudis.

I'm Jewish, there's no way I would be admitted a visa to visit this sandpit...and many who have seen the country and its repressive, medivial society would say the country is already a consentration camp...especially for foreigners and women. I once knew someone who worked there for Aramco and refered to his 2 years there as a "sentence".
