Thirty years ago, Jimmy Carter warned us that we need to change our oil wallowing ways
Then Reagan came in and reversed the policies that would have eventually given us energy independence.

Thirty years later the Republican fuckers are invoking Reagan's name as a saint as the nation is suffering from the direction that he took us into.

Republicans are scum.

that had been installed by Carter.

A move that was surely cheered by John McWhine.

3. America couldn't handle the truth apparently..
have we grown up yet? I guess not, if what I'm hearing is right about polls which indicate the vast majority of people think all we have to do is drill more oil in the U.S.

5. Classic example why historical judgments can't be made on our contemporaries. . .
We can speculate, we can be draw some immediate inferences, but a true historical assessment can only be made in the fullness of time, when all ramifications are known. Thus, Carter will be judged in a better light than Reagan, as Carter's motivations and desires will be seen as being in better tune with the tenor of his times. And George W., seen today as "the worst President in history," may be judged quite differently in the years to come, as the full extent of his criminality and the scope of his bungling are revealed. "Worst President in history" may prove too kind.

6. The United States of Dumbfuckistan. Whatever comes out of their teevee
is gospel and can never be questioned.

If God wanted us to think, he wouldn't have made it hurt so much.
