Does Ben Stein think we are idiots?

On the CBS Sunday Morning he was talking about bad investments that he made, but then brightened up, said that compared to top management of Merrill Lynch, Bears Sterns, IndyMac - who caused loss of millions of dollars to their corporations and their shareholders, he did not do that bad.

Yeah, right. The CEOs and Presidents of these corporations can now be seen standing in line at their local food bank. They lost their multi-million Mac Mansions...

In reality, of course, they left with their golden parachutes, they kept their houses, their gardeners, housekeeper, etc. Their kids still go to top schools and they vacation at the top places. Their bank accounts and retirement accounts are safe and secure.

This is the problem with all of them, and we can add many politicians and bureaucrats; this is not their money; they don't care. They "authorize" spending of millions of dollars knowing that, at worse, they will lose their jobs.
