I hope DUers are watching how M$M is spinning the
'suicide' of Dr. Bruce Ivins. Well at least GEM$NBC is saying apparent suicide.

This is way too convenient. :puke:

1. I heard earlier he offed himself because he was facing the
death penalty for his involvement. How come I'd never heard of this guy prior to today? Way too convenient...

2. Just listened to NPR report from this morning - the wrapup was
sort of like "well, guess this brings it all to a close". ??

How about, this just adds to the questions about this case - especially because you just said they've been narrowing in on this guy for 2 years!

It's time to fess up.

10. Convenient how this dead suspect was also one of the investigators.
You're right though, how about explaining it all to us, I'm sure the administration would like to set our minds at ease...

7. Tylenol and codeine will do the job, but it's a pretty
nasty, vomitous way to go, certainly not on my list of possibilities and quite out of character for a scientist who presumably knew better.

Also, pills are more suited to suicidal gestures. Usually, help is administered before they are fatal. They just take too long.

However, suicides aren't thinking that clearly. If a family member had become concerned about his mental state and hidden the guns, it's within the realm of possibility.

8. this wraps up the case...glad that is over with
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 10:27 AM by DearAbby
wait a minute, MOTIVE...WHY? What reason would this person have in sending anthrax to Ranking Democratic Party leaders? To News Anchors? WHY? what could this person gain by doing that?

Oh of course they would claim this case is closed, but far from it...and yes, it is all too convenient.... American People are more interested now in who will be the next person booted out of the Big Brother house....no problem, no one is paying attention, are they?

11. They had to be able to blame a single person with expertise and access.
Suppose nefarious forces persuade a scientist to help them. Suppose he was recruited. Then suppose evidence began leading back to him. Those who persuaded him to help them acquire the weapons grade anthrax wanted to make sure it all ended with him.
