2. Well..it's a hybrid. I heard a Lehman economist say oil would be $85/barrel

at the end of the year. They said the Saudis and Opec know we can't sustain high prices, and that if they keep them too long it will lead folks to find alternatives to oil dependence. I figured it also meant a Dem win, as Shrubby is clearly getting away with delivering these prices to his oily friends in the biz. In this case, peak oil means peak prices they can sucker us for.

There are millions of people who will continue to drive that vehicle for work, leisure, whatever.

If that Tahoe Hybrid really uses 25% less fuel than the non-hybrid version, consider 10,000 miles of driving.

Tahoe @ 18 mpg = 10000/18 mpg = 555 gallons used.
Tahoe Hybrid @ 23 mpg = 10000/23 mpg = 435 gallons used.

That is 100 gallons a year less for the same vehicle with the same abilities.

Would I love it if they bought a small car hybrid? Of course. But getting the least efficient vehicles to go further on a gallon is very important as well.
