After reading several websites around the net i found one that pointed out that God may not allow us to bomb Iran because it has to be a power to be reckoned with so it can invade Israel later. Anybody see a way we could bomb Iran(possibly with nukes) and have them still be able to fulfill prophecy later?

Sadly, perhaps this would be the time that the 'tactical' delay by our government may be giving them the window needed to stop us from having the capability of doing them any harm at all or to be able to come to the defense of Israel.
I am referring to the possibility of EMP or multiple attacks on the US by homocide bombers.
We need to lift our leaders up in prayer every day for them to seek God's guidance.

When we do go to war with Iran, I believe shortly, likely within the next 3 months, starting as a series of air strikes and escalating thereafter.
Iran will have the helpof the Soviets, North Koreans, Chinese, and Venezuelans.

One possibility is that we may be a lot closer to the rapture and Gogg/Magogg than what your post would allow. What if this is that time? None of us know for sure. Any number of things could happen that would cause America not to intervene, including the rapture. Time will tell, and all we can really do is watch and pray.

A couple possibilities:
1. America nukes Iran and this causes the Gog invasion.
2. America nukes Iran and Iran is devestated, greatly reducing its force in the Gog invasion (remember, the prophecy only mentions the nations involved and the percentage of troops killed, it does not say who the major powers are or how many troops there are.)
3. God somehow stops the attack. I say somehow only because the means are irrelavent, as the outcome is pretty much the same regaurdless of how the attack doesn't occur. :crazy:

i have alwyas thought with the recent developments, that we are closer to gog/magaog than we think...i do believe like someone said above, that when we do strike iran along with israel, russia, china and other allies could come help or strike us here in the homeland...this could explain the hook and the jaw, and Gog and her allies coming against israel...israel will get hit badly but will survive...what if america gets hit? maybe thats why we arent mentioned in prophecy...

If we get a Democratic President in a few years I can see the US pulling out and letting things settle down a bit with the American people. Whether that turns out to be the right or wrong course of action I think that is how it will play out. I think most in the US are sick of the war and want out and I believe that is what they will get in 2009.
That is when you will see Israel going it alone and GOD taking over for them.
I see the US and Israel hitting Iran's nuke sites sometime in the next year and the world turning against us even more. This will weaken our International policy even further and the big campaign promises of 2008 will be pulling out of Iraq and concentrating on homeland security. I think we will be diplomatically weakened to the point where the US is no longer the overseer of the world and that will be fine with the people of the US and with the rest of the world except Israel.
This could be a good time for Gog/Magog to happen and for God to show his love of Israel and his power.
