What I most hate, though, is having to read something written by someone who disagrees with me. I mean, this is a discussion forum, not a torture lounge! I come here to see things I enjoy and already agree with, and if the moderators don't quickly ban anyone that offends (and delete their posts before anyone has time to read them) it helps me maintain clear thinking.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic. It is just that, things that we disagree with too strongly ARE hateful flamebait. As that skinner guy says in the rules, we are here to work for President Obama's (2008! Woo!) election. So, these trollers--who are saying things negatively about him that cross the line--are engaging in hateful flamebait.

Hateful flamebait being, by definition, things that you don't like hearing (hateful) which inspire you to get angry (flamebait). I.e., it is THEIR fault that you don't like what they say, because it FORCES you to respond angrily. That behavior is unacceptable in any forum!

even as a relative newbie. Being "just a little bit" less to the left than some here I lurked around for a long time before registering and jumping in a pool of sharks. :P Learned quickly you got to earn your chops around here, but that's fine, I'm a grown up, I'll manage.
I picture some of these folks, with their fingers in thier ears and thier eyes closed running around screaming "I'm right! Why do you disagree with me!!! He's a Freeper!!!!! Ban him now!!!" hahahaha
Flamers and and such get weeded out by the Mods, but everybody has an opinion and usually it deserves to at least be heard.
besides, how boring would it be if everybody agreed all the time?
