Wouldn't it be nice to know...especially our political representatives...where are the lifeboats and who gets them first? And I'm not just talking about Republicans. My Dem reps have been awfully quiet lately about the death spin we are in. They may be hedging their bets and looking toward November but I predict that the shit is going to hit the fan earlier than that...when folks wake up to how hard...impossible...painful...disasterous....it is going to be to face next winter under these conditions.

How about this for starters....some oil companies in NH will allow you to go on a 12 month payment plan...for $5 a gallon...that was in the Keene Sentinel yesterday...nice.

I don't understand why more people haven't woken up...what are they putting in the water???

1. Oil futures.
They wouldn't invest in the stock market as its value seems to be diminishing on a regular basis.

2. I think a lot are buying real estate, since home prices have dropped so much
Then they are planning to sell them when (and if) the economy improves and home prices go up.

4. I read someplace
That investors are buying up farm land all over the U.S., and around the world. I think the next big "bubble" for them after oil crashes will be food! These greedy bastards know that we need food, and it's only "logical" for them to do with food the same way they have with the dot com gold rush, the housing loan scam, and now the huge price in oil scam. Food is already gone up and will get even higher as the next "big rush" of greedy speculators go after our food supplies!

5. I'm putting all my money in Necessity Futures and Lifestyle Props. . .
I hope to keep the family safely invested in the Big Three: food, shelter, and clothing. Might sink a little into some speculative Health Care, but it'll depend on my liquidity given the present South California drought. How the Astors fare today (do they still let rooms?), I haven't a clue.

9. Public knowledge; Bill Gates shifted to the Euro in 2005, while doing 2 things:
1. Lamenting on how the Dollar's value would fall
2. Asking for unlimited H1Bs

If anything can be drawn from those two points, I have no idea. The world is too weird a place. Just gotta go with the flow.
