More crap from the GOP-controlled media
After having the TV on for about 15 minutes, I have heard two talking points:

1. No one knows anything about Barack Obama

and
2. McCain is an underdog

Besides diminishing these lies by reminding people that they are only talking points: does anyone have any sound bites to counter them?

1. Let's take them one at a time
Nobody knows anything about Obama. Well, that's true if your address is "under a rock" or "in a cave." For the past eight months, anyone with the slightest inclination could find out anything they wanted to know (and a lot more) about Barack Obama. But the major media are heavily invested in creating their own persona and narrative for the general election, so turning him into a tabula rasa means they get to re-draw him any way they want.

McCain is an underdog. Yep, that one's as true as true can be. He's trailing in every poll, he has no campaign staff, and he doesn't have any money. He's the Bob Dole of 2008, and is going to get his political ticket punched but good come November. The real give-away will come in July or August when he resigns his Senate seat to devote more time to his campaign. It will really mean that he's unplugging his political career.
