Just a passing thought on expanding marriage civil rights...
I have looked at all the various pictures of couples getting married over the years, and I fail to see why this:

(This is me and Mr. kt.)

is somehow, in the warped, twisted and bigoted eyes of our opponents, more valid than:

and

I don't feel that my marriage is superior, more valid or is doing any more to "strengthen families" than the marriage of any committed couple.

1. I may be dead wrong
but I think that most Californians will vote a resounding NO in November on the ballot initiative to write hate into the state constitution. Five months of watching joyous couples getting married, friends, neighbors and family, may have a far stronger impact than has been anticipated.

3. I tend to agree. Remember the attempt to add this travesty to the US Constitution?
It didn't pass. Even some of the most Conservative members of Congress didn't want to mess with the Constitution. I have a feeling it will be the same in California.

2. My dear Kerrytravelers!
I couldn't agree more!

Earlier this week, the LA Times had the following editorial:

I was so taken with it, that I posted it here...

Good to see you posting!

Let's hear it for marriage...

People who love one another have the right to be married!
