Did someone try to MURDER a candidate for State Representative?

Fort Worth police are investigating if a local politician was the target in an attempted murder. Someone shot at Kalandra Wheeler's office Thursday night.

Wheeler is the democratic nominee for State Representative District 92.

Investigators know that it was a shotgun blast that busted out a window at Wheeler's office in the 4700 block of Airport Freeway. Bullet holes were still visible Friday afternoon.

Investigators do not know, however, who pulled the trigger.

Just on the other side of the damaged window is where Wheeler sits. "Five of the pieces of buckshot came into the office straight over Kalandra's chair. Two of the pieces hit the wall," said Office Controller Jeff Cox.

The law firm where Wheeler works has a dozen surveillance cameras surrounding the building. Coincidentally, the camera right outside of her office was vandalized and broken several weeks ago. Officer workers are hoping that one of the building's other 11 cameras contains some clues.

...but if you are trying to kill someone at range, through an obstacle, and you have any level of IQ, you don't use a shotgun.
