Why can't we cut money from abstinence education and discriminatory faith-based things?

So, to fund this war, we're cutting money from necessary infrastructure repairs and from welfare programs that every other modernized nation in the world keeps well funded.

Why can't we instead cut the money from things like abstinence education and giving out money to discriminatory faith-based groups?

I thought we were at war, make sacrifices, cut back on things, so then why are we leaving the things that was in Bush's 2000 campaign (Pre-9/11 mindset BTW) untouched?

Let's press the Democratic Party on this, if they're going to fund this war, they can at least cut all money to abstinence education, right?

1. In the Bush era being at war means "go shopping".

That was his advice after Sept.11. He doesn't know the word "sacrifice".

2. While I'm not sure that's a bad idea, I don't know how much money

there is in those programs.
