BRS - Is This Party For Real
I almost think this is a joke except they're actually running a candidate in my State House district (Florida 35). I never thought I'd see some one make Republican Dean Cannon look reasonable.

http://www.brsparty.com/

Notably:
Membership of the British Reformed Sectarian Party shall consist of...registered voters...who are not of African-American descent and are practicing Christians as determined by the BRS Party State Executive Committee.

What's really interesting is this site criticizes the Republican and Democratic party loyalty oath.

I don't know if it's really a political party or just one bigot who hates hippies and cars that go boom.

:freak:

1. I was watching C-Span one time...
And they had several 3rd party presidential candidates making short speeches.

They showed the next speaker was from the Constitution Party. I said, I like the Constitution, let's see what they think.

In under 30 seconds, he disparaged everybody everywhere. I think the only people that didn't suck were him and his dog. It was wild.

There are a lot of nuts out there. It's nice that we have a system that lets them speak. It's nicer that people like that will never gain traction.

2. How you can help, 3) Complain every time you hear a boom, boom car stereo.
British Reformed Sectarian Party,
How You Can Help!!!

1) Ask Democratic office holders about their party's loyalty oath.
2) Ask Republican committeemen about their party's loyalty oath.
3) Complain every time you hear a boom, boom car stereo.
4) And of course, join our party.

A very tolerant group, this one.

3. I don't really want to click on the link...
...and give these guys a page hit that might encourage them to believe anyone is interested in what they have to say, but I do have a question: In what way are they "British"?

4. Oh, Go Ahead
give them false hope.

I have no idea why they've co-opted the name British. And I'm still not sure this isn't some kind of joke.
