bobby jindal "the next ronald reagan" is getting his ass kicked on New Orleans Radio
jindal, the christian conservative values laden new governor of Louisiana, touted by rush limbaugh as the next ronald reagan is getting destroyed on New Orleans talk radio today (and yesterday as well.) The LA state legislature has voted to double their salaries. jindal, who ran on a platform diametrically opposing such measures, said its just horrible what the legislature is doing but he won't veto it because he's afraid the big bad legislatures will stifle his future reforms. As one irate caller stated, "he's a liar and a coward."

Oh please mccain pick lil shit bobby jindal to be your running mate.

2. I'm really surprised he won't veto it! Somehow I doubt it will make
any difference in wether the legislature goes along with his plans...THEY WON'T!

3. He said
he must maintain his "pledge" to the legislature. In other words fuck the voters. jindal is the latest living proof of one thing I know to be 100% true. If a politician tells me they have christian conservative family values, what they are telling me is that they think I'm a fucking moron who can be easily duped into voting for them. Jindal = living proof.

Scroll down to the section called "Beating a demon" and you can read the whole weird story. Dude is a freak-a-zoid. :scared:

5. New Orleans has an awesome sarcastic monthly newspaper
"The New Orleans Levee" - We hold nothing back. Get it???

Their issue last month stated that the vatican was considering jindal for sainthood. They cited jindal changing his name from Piyush to Bobby for the purpose of winning statewide election in a red state as the first miracle.

I note that you like clearing brush. I could keep you employed for quite awhile here in South Mississippi.

8. Geaux Piyush!
(we're not really allowed to call him that, his given name, because a Kool-Aid-drinking small-town newspaper editor in north La. says it makes us a bunch of big ol' racists, but what the hey!)

Show everyone what a sniveling wuss you truly are!

Ironically, a number of top NOLA bloggers support the pay raise, on the grounds that they'll be that much less tempted to steal:

http://adrastos.blog-city.com/lee_zurik_blogger.htm

Whiz bang WWL-TV anchor and reporter Lee Zurik is live blogging the legislative debate over the proposed pay raise. LINK. I'm one of the few non-legislators to favor the measure. If we want them to steal less, pay them better. And like Jeffrey I'm enjoying watching PBJ squirm on this issue. Perhaps he should stick to exorcism and skip dragonslaying.

Pay the Crooks More

I guess I’m in a very small minority with this opinion, but I actually support our Louisiana state legislature’s efforts to give themselves a huge salary increase. It’s not because I think they deserve a reward them for a job well done. It’s not because I like big government or higher taxes. It’s because when I looked into the prospect of running for the legislature myself (yes, I know, ha ha ha) I have to admit the salary was a nonstarter. I understand public service entails some sacrifices, but the pay really is paltry — a joke. What is it, like $23K? Oh, it’s supposed to be a part-time job, but that’s a joke too.

I certainly understand the kneejerk reaction against the pay raise. But I find myself, surprisingly, in the camp that says we get what we pay for, and maybe if the job paid a decent wage we’d getter a better quality of applicant. In any event, if people are frustrated with the incumbents, they should vote them out of office.

10. How is it racist to call someone by his/her given name
I work with plenty of folks from India and other countries where they use their given name every single day and I hardly see it as racist. Clearly Jindal is trying to cleanse himself of his heritage in order to suck up to the Pasty White Man.

For shame!

Be proud of your heritage!

13. One might say
(if one were a skeptical SOB) that jindal changed his name because he is a racist (in a reverse sort of way.) He is pure conservative slime, strongly endorsed by a thrice (at least) divorced drug addicted coward.

21. I would suggest
Indians (his heritage.) Changed his name because he liked Bobby Brady??? Preaching that he is not a career politician when he has been in politics all his life?? Wanting so badly to get elected in Louisiana where "Piyush" wouldn't have sit well with Boudreaux and Thibodeaux.? He is classic conservative republican slime chock full of "values." Just like bush and limbaugh etc, etc, ad nauseum.

14. You'd have to ask Sam Hanna from the Ouachita Citizen
Edited on Tue Jun-17-08 03:04 PM by KamaAina
the journalistic beacon of West Monroe, La. (pop. 13,250).

http://www.ouachitacitizen.com/news.php?id=1191

Let's take it a step further.

Issuing a news release pointing out that Jindal's first name is Piyush, which the state Democratic Party did last week, removed the racist label from the Republican Party and placed it clearly on the backs of the Democrats.

:wtf:

Hanna, it turns out, is publisher, not editor, of the Citizen. My bad. :dunce:

edit: I just realized, that implies that he admitted the racist label was on the repuke party in the first place!

25. Since it is no longer his name, you have to look at the motives for using it.

In this instance the most obvious motive would be to play on voter's racism.

11. I don't think the payraise
is the current central issue. the local pitchfork carriers are up in arms about that but jindal's backing down has definitely been the barrel of gas on the funeral pyre. WWL-radio is reading part of his campaign literature which says he would not allow said event to occur. Ooooopppsss!!!

And Lee Zurik has been really stirring the pot the last few months relative to NOLA politics.

And on an unrelated subject. I just have a serious longing in my loins for Channel 4's weekend weather girl - Dawn Brown. She makes this 54 year old long for the olden days.

9. Bobby Jindal is a charlatan who claims to have exorcised demons from people,
believes 'intelligent design' is science, and is 100% against abortion in ALL circumstances.

He has me pining for Edwin Edwards. x(

12. What will the media say if McCain picks him, though?
It will be trumpeted as a bold pick by McCain, going for somebody youthful and energetic, a great diversity pick, etc, etc.

I've heard stories about Rush & Hannity getting woodies over this guy, and I suspect that the media won't give us the real Jindal like they haven't given us the real McCain.

15. Interestingly
as I have listened to New Orleans radio this afternoon someone mentioned that at least two of the national networks are interested in this current story going on in Louisiana. Hopefully they will shed a light on jindal's "leadership" failures.

And jindal is so cowardly that he won't appear in local media in anything that is not totally scripted. Lordy I hope mccain picks him. then LA will get a very competent (D) Governor, Mary Landrieu's brother.

16. Actually, wouldn't Mitch Landrieu get it only if McSatan/Piyush won?
At that point, it would hardly matter who the governor of La. -- or any other state -- was. :scared:

17. Interesting point
and I'm not sure. If the LA GOV steps down the LGOV steps up. I would think he would have to resign as GOV to take the mccain gig, a resignation which should not be pending the result of another election.

ronald reagan made me incredibly jaded against anything or anyone calling themselves conservative and breying about their values. piyush is on par with rush. They couldn't survive if they had to earn money.
