Ok lets focus on the real problem at Walter Reed
Yes Officers should be gone. But the real problem has been Bush's budgets for the last six years. bush has slowly chopped away at Veterans, Military Families and Military Hospitals budgets. Why his dam war in Iraq. Monies needed to take care of Veterans, Military Families and the Hospitals has been diverted to his war of lies. So this problem falls right on Bush's desk. I am not the only one who feels this way. Look at Larry Scott at VA Watchdog's opinion. We who been in this fight know Bush is the real problem and his Lonny right friends.

1. Yep. Conservatives hate spending $ on soldiers who can't fight anymore.
It's a matter of principle to them. Don't rob money from today's war to pay for yesterday's.

5. And old people who can't work any more...
And disabled people who are a "drag on society"

And kids, who needs 'em?

And blacks and Indians and ...well, all those with brown skin...

THere's only one problem they haven't solved yet... if they get rid of all of us, who is gonna clean their toilets and fight their damned wars?

10. He does not care about life at all .
Not the troops , not the US worker , not the washed out US cities , not the old or young or the poor or anything other than his war machines profit . And of course the haves and the have mores , his base !

This is an abomination beyond anything we have even seen before other than what well hidden history tells when the white man landed on US soil and stole the land from the native americans after they murdered most of them . Hell they were not americans nore was this america , this was their land .

It is beyond an honest mans /womans capacity to even know how to be so criminal or murderous . And all for what , fucking money that is now worthless .

I often try to think asking myself HOW this could ever happen however my mind shuts down due to the horror of it all .

2. I consider my government criminally negligent in that regard
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 08:59 PM by Solly Mack
You don't go to war - more especially a protracted war such as Bush's "war on terror" - without first preparing the various military hospitals and veteran hospitals for the increase in services needed that are a result of war.

Anyone that "didn't anticipate" mass wounded in a "protracted conflicted" should be held criminally liable.
Anyone that cut funding/benefits during a time of "protracted conflict" should be held accountable as well.

If you bought the lie that war is ever a slam dunk, that's on you...and you should be held accountable.

How does a government speak of a war that will last decades and not prepare for the wounded, the maimed?

Any government that did such should be held liable.

and I don't want to hear cowardly excuses such as "mistakes made" and "no one could anticipate"...you sent people off to war didn't you? War means death - wounded - maimed - forever changed.

You have to be truly stupid or truly corrupt to ever think otherwise.

4. Out-sourcing and privateering ... profiteering off human suffering.
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 09:00 PM by TahitiNut
When the "boots on the ground" (individual contributors and service-providers) are the employees of a contractor, we get the absolute worst of corporatism and corrupt unionization. When the appetite for profits isn't sated, they put unqualified and under-qualified people in the functions and then understaff those functions besides. The program offices get fat. The contractors get fat. The workers get screwed and the delivery of service trickles down to almost non-existent.

Out-sourcing a critical function (prisons, care of injured troops, military armor, supplies, etc.) is a wet dream for these corporate privateers. All they have to do is squeeze a little and the human pain is huge ... and the taxpayer money spigots are turned open more. Nobody wants to talk about the elephant in the room. These patched together monstrosities of out-sourced functions are a nightmare of management - which, of course, is 'solved' by hiring a Management Contractor! It's fucking obscene.

8. I wish you were hired as "spokesman" on some of these news shows!
I'd love to hear you talk about this on Countdown!

REally, this is the stuff that needs to be explained, and explained just this way.

Surely there are some journalists who could explain this... or maybe you need to give 'em some lessons.

OK..ok... I know you aren't shirley...

:hi:
