Is there a group, person, organization to investigate GWB?
When Bush leaves office I think it is imperative that someone/group/organization do some serious investigations of what happened during his administration. I am sure many others feel the same but what can we do? The laws and very principals of our nation have been broken by a cabal of thieves that have stolen from this nation our future for the next fifty years.

We must have a thorough investigation of what has happened and lay the facts out to the citizens of the United States as a first step in the recovery of our once great nation. These are serious questions and I hope they can be answered. How do we pressure Congress and the White House to begin? Is there an organization that can do this? Do we approach Congress to carry on such an investigation or do we pressure Congress to allow an independent investigation? I would be more than willing to contribute funds to any group that has as a charter the investigation of what our government has done in the name of national security to keep secrets from the people. I don't care who falls from grace as they have done the deed themselves and the public has a right to know. Does the DU have a group? Does anyone who reads the DU know of a group? Can we form a group? Can we assist another group? We the people must gain control of our government or we will fall as surely as the Soviet Union did under the weight of bureaucracy.

1. Welcome to DU! If there isn't one, we should absolutely continue asking about it.
And asking why there isn't.

So far it's been mainly the blogs - here, Talking Points Memo, Kos, Atrios, Buzzflash, Mediamatters.org keeps pretty good track of how the media "covers" this administration.

There's also the ACLU and Common Cause. I'm sure there are many more. My mind's on hold at the moment.

3. How about this?

"As a prosecutor who is dedicated to seeking justice, Bugliosi, in his inimitable style, delivers a non-partisan argument, free from party lines and instead based upon hard facts and pure objectivity. A searing indictment of the President and his administration, "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" also outlines a legally credible pathway to holding our highest government officials accountable for their actions, thereby creating a framework for future occupants of the oval office."

9. Bugliosi would be perfect - but he'd commit suicide before Cheney
would let that happen.

10. Well he seems prepared to initiate the process.
I heard him on the Thom Hartmann Show recently and he said that he's in the process of contacting prosecutors all over the country to find one willing to take this on.

5. Can't a state prosecute? What about a wrongful death suit?
Why do we have to rely on the Feds to get their shit together?

8. Congress is the group charged with investigating crimes by a president
By refusing to do so, they've violated their oath of office.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Caps are mine for emphasis.

The little dictator, as outlined in the 35 Articles presented by Kucinich, has violated the Constitution on numerous occasions.

14. So as it stands there in nothing or no one person
That is willing to investigate the Bush administration. Where would I look to find some body to do so? Is there a letter writing campaign that can be started? I am serious as a heart attack, the Bush administration has literally stolen billions upon billions from the citizens and it must be exposed. I have no idea where to start.
