after they helped the Americans defeat the British...and then proceeded to impose its will on the newly formed nation......

Would there have been objection?

1. That is a very good point i had not thought of until you mentioned it.
Gratz to you on making me think. I would have to say that yes there would have been powerful objections formed over going from the control of one monarchy to the other.

stolen its natural resources, and then told its people they were spreading democracy?
