Democratic Congressional chances improve again

For what its worth, Congressional Quarterly (cq.com) has, in the past three days, changed its rating in favor of Democrats in two congressional races.


In Mississippi's 1st district CQ has just changed the race from "no clear favorite" to "leans Democratic." This is the race where Childers beat Davis in the special election a few weeks ago. Up until about a week before the special election cq had rated the race first as "safe Republican" and then as "Republican favored." Then, just before the special election they changed their rating to "no clear favorite" where it remained until (I think) today. Now I notice that it is rated "leans Democratic."


CQ has rated New Jersey's 7th district as "leaning Republican" until a few days ago. Then, I think three days ago, and possibly as a result of the Republican primary, CQ changed its rating to "no clear favorite."
