2. The Sun has some uninformed writers.
"...tempt democrats with his liberal views on gay marriage and abortion."

Where the hell did they get that from? John McCain: "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman" and "Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision and must be overturned."

Just goes to show you that because one has a British accent does not mean one has a brain.

3. Once you get past the screaming headlines, the Sun's not much more than...
...a gossip sheet. But as a barometer of London sentiments, it's usually right on.

5. The Sun is one of our worst tabloid rags
It's owned by Murdoch and very right-wing, simplistic and non-intellectual in the worst sense. It's probably best noted for it's 'Page 3 girls' - pictures of sexy women on p. 3 to tempt male-chauvinist piggy readers.

As regards its reporting, its best-known headlines, both from the 80s I think, are 'GOTCHA!' on the sinking of the General Belgrano during the Falklands War, and that ultimate tabloid headline, "FREDDIE STARR ATE MY HAMSTER".

It is said that during the 1980s miners strike, some strikers taunted strikebreaking colleagues, not with the traditional "Scabs!" or "Blacklegs!", but "Sun readers!"

I am sure that most Brits will be very happy to see Obama installed in the White House; but I wouldn't rely on anything in the Sun.

'Just goes to show you that because one has a British accent does not mean one has a brain.'

I have to admit that this is all too true, when applied to anyone who either subscribes to or writes for "The Sun"!

4. Obama beer?
"Last night Kenyans toasted Mr Obama’s success by downing glasses of local brew Obama Beer."

M-mm!
