It will be interesting to see how the media deal with the street celebrations that I'm sure will break out spontaneously in large parts of the world.

They ignored quite a lot of critical questions being raised by the European news outlets prior to the invasion of Iraq, and they have largely ignored reports the White House has laid down executive decrees and plans to consolidate power in the event of martial law, probably invoked after a massive casualty event on US soil.
