Did you know that US port 'security' is now essentially optional?

Wanna get some WMD into the US? Just put it in a shipping container and ship it in. The feds now allow shippers to 'demonstrate' they have their own private 'security' in place and they can bypass even the 5% chance they face at getting searched at the port of entry. Just don't try it in Baltimore.

This was part of a story just on the local Baltimore nooz. It seems Maryland has taken things a lot farther than the feds have and have imposed far stricter standards. Using state funds (mine and my fellow Marylanders' taxes), Maryland has decided to inspect even more cargo and to do more thorough background checks on shippers, truck drivers picking up cargo, anyone who has anything to do with incoming port cargo. Maryland now inspects 12% of all incoming cargo, considerably higher than the feds mandate (5%).

1. They can take all their 'Homeland Security' excuses for trampling our rights and shove it

Until they get SERIOUS about port security, they have no credibility that there is some huge terrorist threat from outside their own offices.

Hell, somebody could bring a whole army into this country without any problem at all.

2. They can SURELY ship in a live, full size nuke if they wanted

No one is watching.

Yet we have to get strip searched to fly on a stupid fucking airplane from Dubuque to Ft Collins.

3. Just finishing up training the population that they have no value, rights, or power

The corporate rulers want us to police ourselves so they don't have to spend much money on it. They want us convinced that it is normal and acceptable to be treated like prisoners.

They sold a war in Iraq on the WMD lie then it was catch Saddam, then it was all about 'democracy for Iraq' In reality it was Grand Theft and all about bringing Iraq-style dictatorship to the US.
