Good Work! The 'McSame' meme has now entered the MSM mainstream via ABC News:
make it stick!

from the ABC article:

"At every opportunity, the Democrats have been seeking to characterize McCain as "McSame" -- a virtual clone of the president, whose election would be equivalent to a third Bush term."

8. I heard it today briefly on MSNBC

They talked about how McCain's (newfound) stance on tax cuts and his support of Bush's Iraq "policies" were virtually identical. I believe that they were only able to come up with one substantial policy difference between Bush and McCain, specifically over climate change and McCain's beliefs about and responses to it versus Bush's. Thankfully, the "McSame" meme seems to be finally cracking through to the MSM. Hopefully, we can keep it there through November. Really, WHAT are the major differences between the two of them(now)? I used to respect McCain somewhat for his principled differences with Bush on fiscal responsibility and torture and I felt kind of sorry for him about what Bush and Rove did to him in the 2000 GOP primaries but starting with his "embrace" of Bush during the 2004 election and especially his apparent eagerness to continue to support Bush's Iraq policies, I have grown to respect him less and less and now as a presidential candidate I don't see him as anything other than a pathetic "shill" for Bush's failed (and increasingly unpopular) policies. If I were him, I'd run away from the Bush "legacy" as fast as possible but it certainly won't hurt us any for him to just keep doing what he (and the rest of the GOP) has been doing in terms of resolutely clinging to it.
