5. MO or KS?
I moved to a tornado area (NC - nowhere NEAR what it's like in your neck of the woods) from earthquake country (Seattle).

I was kind of sweating it the other day when they were calling tornado warnings for my little town! I was thinking I preferred Seattle -- you didn't know an earthquake was coming so you didn't have to spend a lot of time worrying about it, and when one hit, by the time you realized what was going on, it would pretty much be over.

TAKE CARE AND HANG ON!!

10. Is it by Wichita?
I have friends in Wichita. I hope everyone is safe no matter what part it is.
When I was a kid in Southern Illusion.. I mean Illinois... one went right by our house. We didn't have a basement and lived on a hill. The nearest house was 1/4 mile away and it took out their barn .
The trailer that was about 1/2 a mile away was cut in half. The people that lived there were in the the good half.

I hope every one is safe.

17. Radar just indicated
that the storm just to the SW of where I live is rotating and the storm just north and west is rotating. Yikes! This is a new development! I wish it was not dark. One of my sons is driving in this. Deep breath!

23. Well that was a poo out!
We got some wind, we got some rain and we got some great lightning but not any real loud thunder and now it is over. More coming but I am not going to worry about what is next, seems to be not too bad.

The weather man said that the National Weather Service says tomorrow is going to be bad and that we will be set up perfectly for big, long tracking tornados. Oh goody.

Son is on the road, told me he was going slow but it was really not a problem. He should be home soon! I love when the kids come home!

26. That weather system is coming through here tomorrow.
For years I was terrified of tornados - to the extent that I dreamed about them repeatedly. I think I burnt myself out on it, because now I just feel an eerie calm when the storm systems come through. I know we're in for it tomorrow, but I can't do anything about it, so will just have to see how it goes.

Hope everyone here stays safe!

but am at the in-laws this weekend, near Lawrence. Hoping it doesn't rain too much while we're gone since we have a leaky basement:( Looks like the rain has followed me up here too.
