Just watched Rove on Faux Nooze
Wallace asked him if the Democrats were on to something in trying to tie McCain to Bush. Rove said that strategy was a big mistake. So, clearly, we're on to something.

2. You poor man!
I suggest you spend the rest of the day being nice to yourself. Those who surround you should bring you love, drinks and food you like.

3. Rotisserie season is just beginning...
or wouldn't it be fun to do that old "phys ed" drill where the two are seated back to back, legs straight out, and the arms hooked together as they attempt to stand up...Turdblossom could stand on the side and "instruct and direct" as they twist and roll trying to get a leg up...too funny.

5. They probably presented it as a legitimate news interview.

When they have already made public the fact that Rover is on the Faux Noise (ie RNC) payroll.

Just how much do they believe the public will fall for?

6. The Real Rove Legacy...
Karl's playing on "free time" right now. He knows he can't be held accountable cause of Executive Privilidge and can continue to intimidate and bamboozle...for now. He's also raking in the big bucks...probably burying it in the backyard for after his parole.

The TRUE Rove legacy is tied to the manchild...not to Gramps. Remember, it was Rove who spearheaded the smears on Gramps in 2000...if there's any "alliance" right now it's like a scorpion and a cobra...they are keeping each other close...and Gramps is paying off Rove, but the loyalty ends when the check is cashed. Rove's game is to "ensure the boooosh legacy"...and right now that "legacy" is based on Gramps winning a third term. But whatif it fails? So what...Rove is not the "archetect" here and will probably be one of the first to blame Gramp's loss on him not toeing the booooosh line close enough.

Rove has to know "the math"...he can't be that stupid...but what he knows and what he says have never jived. He's preparing his parachute...my hopes is that it lands him in "the big house".

10. I saw that.
My wife said, "That's his opinion." :-)

Also, he said Repubs need to start talking about healthcare, affordable college, etc. Seemed like he was saying they need to steal the Democrats agenda??

11. Yeah, but they're linking everything to tax cuts.
Deductions for health-care accounts or buying insurance on your own, if you can even get it. Tough darts if you or anyone in your family has a pre-existing condition. Ditto college: the reason college costs are rising at the rate they are is partly tied to the cost of health-care for faculty, administrators and staff: salaries and other benefits have been pretty much static for years. The rising cost of energy will have an effect, too. Also, big cuts in state funding have made things much, much worse: in Wisconsin the state funds only about 26% of the UW system budget. It's gotten so bad here that a couple of years ago UW-Madison was threatening to secede from form the UW system. One of the big reasons state funding has declined so rapidly is that Bush eliminated Clinton's educational block-grant program pretty much the day he took office. So, tuition goes up. But there's no Republican plan to address the causes of rising tuition: just a band-aid tax deduction that hardly anyone will actually be able to use, and that will help pay for only about a quarter of a public university education, if that.
