Oops, She Did It Again...
Michelle Duggar is pregnant with her 18th child...9 months after #17 was born.

Arkansas Mom Pregnant with 18th Child

LITTLE ROCK (May 9) - It's a Happy Mother's Day, indeed, for Michelle Duggar - she's pregnant with her 18th child, and says she has no plans to stop any time soon.

Duggar, 41, is due on New Year's Day, and the latest bundle of joy will join seven sisters and 10 brothers, including two sets of twins.

"We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing.

The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.

And if any of this generation of Duggers survive, we might be able to keep a Dugger there for the whole 100.

guy do for a living that he has all this money?

i think the website said him and his wife are REAL ESTATE AGENTS?

my god. i've got one kid and a semi-crappy house. i'm in the wrong fucking business.

(and how much time does this woman have to be a real estate agent? i mean, i would think she was home raising the kids since there are so many of them)

on edit
from their website that i can't copy & paste:
"as a family project the duggars built a 7000 sqft home debt free! both jim bob and michelle are licensed real estate agents. they often host and facilitate the jim sammon's "financial freedom seminar." jim bob served in the arkansas house of representatives from 1999 to 2003 and was a candidate for the u.s. senate in 2002."

I have 3 children, and everytime I see this woman I cross my legs and have sympathy pain! (for you men, I think it's similar to the response you have when you see someone get a knee to the groin). How on earth do they support that brood, how can any child in a family that huge get the attention they deserve (I am sure it is possible, but I think the laundry alone would take up all my time). Wow, just wow...:scared:

47. Well, if the younger siblings are getting the attention they need,
it's coming from the older siblings, because there is no other way it could be happening.

I have dogs, not kids. I would LOVE to have 20 mutts running around. But, four or five is my absolute limit because I know I couldn't give them the individual attention they deserve if there were more. Hell, even five is pushing it.

11. She's only 41. She's probably got a few more
breeding years ahead - if her body doesn't wear out first.

I've got one child and it's all I can do to give her the attention she deserves and make sure her needs are met. I would find it difficult with two, but 18? No possible way. The parents must make the older ones responsible for the younger ones, and that's a hell of an unfair thing to foist on teenagers. I wouldn't be surprised if behind closed doors there isn't a lot of rebellion already.

30. On certain occasions, there is every valid reason to criticize wrongdoing.
18 children is irresponsible and potentially dangerous. Most of us can't begin to make enough money to properly care for 1, 2, or 3 children -- never mind 18!

If something happened to her, I would feel sorry for her family, but let's get real -- it's not a healthy thing to do. Psychologically or physically.

She can do what she wants, and maybe she has all the resources and doesn't need to rely on everyone else all the time (helping the needy is good, but especially with population concerns, what she is doing is WRONG - period), and her condition is so extreme and frivolous, is all that's left truly making bad jokes? Possibly.

42. If they were not obviously well financed, I'd agree & not give it
a second thought--just think them imminently practical and frugal. But after seeing their house & their self-discussion of finances, I think it represents something quite different...

70. i think they
dress this way because it's just easier to manage. i went on their website and noticed that the oldest daughter is breaking free of the "style", so that's why i came to this conclusion.

50. Wow, I would have NEVER gotten that!
I'm glad she didn't show up on a roster in my class. I would have looked pretty goofy pronouncing it to rhyme with "ringer"

"J names for Jesus"?

Jesus. I'm sure he'll know the connection right away when he meets "Jinger"

63. Disgusting! Idiots like these are why the world is overpopulated - global warming, ecological ruin,
resource scarcity, etc are the symptoms of this terminal disease. I decided a long time ago (my personal view, obviously) that it would be wrong to bring kids into this world. I'm glad every day that I made that decision. And I'm so happy to have a partner who feels the same way. It's so selfish and pigheaded to have kids when so many unwanted children out there are in need of adoption and loving homes.

74. No...
Its the morons with 1 kids a 5k sq foot house and two SUV's that are the problem... These people use less energy than John Edwards and at about 250 sqft per kids use less space, energy, and heat per square foot than most Americans.

The Duggars are far from perfect (the whole avoiding property tax thing is really *really* lame) but to say its folk like that ruining the planet is moronic, 'Idiots like these' account for a very small fraction of the worlds population.

66. I grew up in a big family
I have five siblings, not because my parents do not believe in birth control (my mom is a frequent poster here actually) but because they wanted and could afford six children.

it was a great upbringing, filled with problems that smaller families do not have but also treasues that smaller families miss out on.

these people give me the heebie geebies.

take a look at the daily schedule: they have practically every minute of these kids lives already written down.

(and the girls of course have to do the cooking...)

the greatest moments of my childhood were those playing with my siblings. we came to our own ethical and moral realizations with both the guidance of the adults around us and on our own.

these kids don't seem to get a minute to stop and question anything told to them.

78. Instantly expelled and disowned, almost certainly. However, if you read about the childrens'
uprbringing, you will see that they have zero opportunity (very likely, no one can say for sure unless they know this grotequely huge family) for intellectual growth and meeting other people with differing views.

Looks like the parents have very effectively intellectually enslaved the children, and they are tax cheats, to boot!

Those poor kids. However, if the Bushies take this nation where I think they are, they will make wonderful Concentration Camp Guards (scourging the Liberals and Colored for Jesus!) or Neighborhood Spies (keeping an eye on the UnGodly for Jesus).

Hey why not ride the money train? What can we call it? "19 Is Enough" sounds a little far fetched. We could make gold alone on the kids and their habits.
