Getting punished for doing good ......

..... okay, the title is an exaggeration.

Since this past Saturday, six 'political' calls have come in to the Stinky/Sparkly household. All are for Sparkly. Prior to my actually counting them, the calls still came at what seemed like the same rate.

Callers never identify themselves until pressed. When pressed, they do.

NARAL
NOW
Various campaigns
The local party
DNC
DSCC

We get almost no junk calls ..... except these. While not actually junk calls, they are equally annoying.

This is how we get paid back for contributing money?

Yeah .... I know ....... I'm an evil son of a bitch for complaining.

3. Well, I do things a little differently

First of all, I'm unlisted and unpublished. I get very few junk calls.

However, when I have to give my phone number out when I'm ordering online from a company known for giving out data to other companies, I transpose two numbers very carefully.

You see, there is a dyslexic person whose calls I get a lot. A night of compulsive dialing turned up her number. So now, I transpose the numbers so she will get the junk calls.

You see, payback's a bitch and so am I.

Oh, and the number of calls I get for the dyslexic have fallen a lot since I started the junk call redirection policy. I might have to start giving my own number on those forms again if it keeps up.
