The Chinese Menu Of Torture
Edited on Thu Apr-10-08 09:17 PM by Me.
As they sat around the table, Cheney, Rice, Powell, Tenet, Rummy & Ashcroft, chopsticks at the ready for pointing, they picked one from column A (method), one or two from column B (device/s) and one from column C (amount of time duress to be applied).

I hope they are all tried for war crimes and indicted, but not, tortured. Civilized people do not condone torture.

2. DISGUSTING
I wonder what kind of mind can sleep at night. What kind of General can blatantly go against the Geneva Conventions that he swore to abide by. The wheels of justice grind slowly but grind exceedingly small." Their justice will be coming

3. I'll have the General Tso's water dungeon with a side of fried monk's testicles...
Bad taste? Maybe. But what's even worse is that our Congress, which is supposed to be controlled by Democrats, is too spineless to step in and intervene.

Shame on all of them, they have disgraced themselves and their country. I always suspected Powell was a straw man,. Mei Li anyone?

"At one meeting in the summer of 2003 -- attended by Vice President Cheney, among others -- Tenet made an elaborate presentation for approval to combine several different techniques during interrogations, instead of using one method at a time, according to a highly placed administration source."cint…

Marc Ambinder blogs for the Atlantic that "it remains one of those hidden secrets in Washington that a Democratic Justice Department is going to be very interested in figuring out whether there's a case to be made that senior Bush Administration officials were guilty of war crimes."cont…

“But legal blogger Jack Balkin says no way. "ections 8 and 6(b) of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 effectively insulated government officials from liability for many of the violations of the War Crimes Act they might have committed during the period prior to 2006. Moreover, as has pointed out, there's a strong argument that a later Justice Department would not prosecute people who reasonably relied on legal advice from a previous Justice Department”…cont…

“"As I noted in a previous post, the most likely prosecution for war crimes will not occur in the United States; if it occurs at all, it will come through the use of universal jurisdiction against Bush Administration officials who make the mistake of traveling outside the United States." Cont…
