in response to rush limbaugh urging his listeners to cross over and screw with our voting, I propose to all my fellow democrats, independents, liberals, and those who just believe in fair play that it is time for revenge

it is time for Operation: Bluto

Operation: Bluto will be a one week coordinated effort to call in consistently, hundreds to thousands of callers, to jam rush's phone banks to tell him to stop screwing with our primaries and that he's just a moron in general. it will take place from Monday, March 31st thru Friday April 4th. I know its short timing but with enough feedback, we can do it!

it will, in effect, shut the rush limbaugh show down.


we should begin here and spread this message of rebellion against the forces that are working to stop america's democracy. to other places like daily kos, huffington post, etc etc.

it is time we start fighting back. and in the time honored tradition of such great rebels as the sons of liberty, bill hicks, richard pryor, and bluto blutarksi and the rest of the members of Delta House, I believe Operation: Bluto is a way to make limbaugh pay.

But, you know, you will get farther, with your work, if you make it easy on people to do what you want them to do: POST THE NUMBER TO CALL!

Also, this is the first I've heard of Operation Bluto. You need to make it a weekly thing, and advertise it more, so that it grows, and actually accomplishes your objective.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but Limbaugh has call screeners who will see to it that you never get through to tell the gasbag not to mess with the voting. Even if the purpose is simply to tie up the phones, so other callers can't get through, again, it won't do any good. Limbaugh can easily do a week's worth of shows without ever taking a call. He has enough hot air to fill three hours per day for years.
