2. Well, first, I wouldn't lose hope about a Dem in the White House. But as to the Senate...
we're looking great. We're only vulnerable in Louisiana, while Republican senators are retiring or being forced to step down in Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, Colorado and Virginia -- and NM, CO and VA are all likely Dem. pickups. Meanwhile, incumbent GOP senators face serious battles in Oregon, Alaska, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Maine. 2008 should be a great year in the Senate.

4. I've lost a lot of hope for it too, racism or sexism could be too much to overcome
You have to remember the amount of Americans that are ignorant.

What makes you think McCain stands any chance in hell?
Democrats could run a yellow dog and win this year. Republicans have screwed the pooch just a little too much for two thirds of Americans..

10. That's how I look at it, too. However, I thought they were screwed in 2004
and somehow Little Lord Pissy Pants pulled a win out of his ass.

With these criminals, anything is possible.

the WH, can we as a country or in that fact the world, cannot afford more death and more wars. Or should we be ready for a draft, oh, not a draft, more private mercenaries like Blackwater.

12. First I hope you are right. Do you remember how Dick Cheney schooled
John Edwards during their debate? The "old man" made little Johnny look like an upstart. Insert McCain and Obama. As for Hillary, res ipso loquitar.

9. half of my friends won't vote for Obama & half of those will vote for McCain - but Senate should be
Edited on Wed Mar-26-08 12:32 PM by papau
a gain of 3 to 7 seats.

A solution would be to get the other half - the non-voting ever half - to vote Dem - but its a tough sell with Obama among seniors

11. Our elections are just for show.
Personally I think the Republicans want McCain to lose, just listen to right wing radio these days. He's taking a dive(whether he wants to or not) because they want to blame the mess Bush has created on a Democrat. They can't wait for Hillary or Obama so they can blame everything on them. That is why they are still pretending the economy is going great. If they just wait it out a few more months it will be all the fault of the Democrat taking office.

I don't trust that Hillary or Obama will end the phony war on terror however. I feel we must replace every Bush enabler in the House and Senate and restore the Constitution and rule of law in this country and maybe even common sense.
