A photograph of oppression.
Apologies if this is a dupe. I rarely post in GD but this image shook me and I felt it needed to be shared as widely as possible.

2. Something similar happened here over housing vouchers this week. n/t
Source: palmbeachpost.com

BOCA RATON — A crowd of more than 500 people waiting for hours this morning for housing voucher applications were dispersed by police in riot gear at the Boca Raton Housing Authority when the applications ran out sooner than expected.

The action prompted complaints that officers used excessive tactics and housing authority officials were incompetent in their planning.

4. Apparently God did not think homeless people matter.

If one accepts the myth "fact" that God created the world, and gave it to his people, why do only the few rich people on the planet "own" everything.. the minerals, the money from the sale of the minerals, the water, the air..the land under our feet?.and why is it ok to beat, threaten, kill any poor person...anywhere..who chooses to move where he/she might be able to support his/her family?

5. Selfishness and greed. Like a 3 year olds mentality.
Too keep others from using something they need and that you don't need just because it's "yours".

"Mine!" Quothe the Rich.
