Right Wing Haiku
by Fortschreitend
Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 09:58:59 AM PDT

You know what's missing on the Intertubes? (well, if you read my title the cat is already out of the bag)

Haiku written for the right wing!

For some inexplicable reason the right has not yet embraced this literary form. Maybe that's because right-wingers can't use the left half of their brain. Or is it the right half? OK, they generally don't use either half. So being a generous soul, I'm offering some haiku written from a right-wing perspective to get them started.

SNIP

The words of Jesus
made clear in the holy scripture:
No stem cell research!

Mexico invades
they mow our lawns for a song
not sung in English

SNIP

Brave Republicans
protecting us with torture
Justified? Who cares?

...

where is your flag pin?
do you hate America?
must be a hippie

...

Fox News programming:
hosts yell louder than their guests
to avoid bias

...

McCain leads his flock
deep into the Bush pasture
watch out for cowpies

...

Damn! ideas gone
hard to write right wing haiku
devoid of substance

...

Please feel free to contribute your own ideas. Remember that a haiku consists of 5 syllables on the first line, 7 syllables on the second line, and 5 syllables again on the third line.

7. The dearth is a result of all the uncreative "trolls" that post here these days.
The only thing they're good at is dividing and conquering.

BTW, great haiku!

13. Here are mine..
Tony the Poodle
Loved his master Bush the way
Maggie loved Ronnie.

Our Bible says that
Blessed are the rich; the proud;
Those who start the wars.

Impeachment? That is
Just for naughty sex affairs.
Lies for war are fine!

Those who are poor or
Ill or weak in any way
Deserve to be kicked.

The Iron Lady
Will never rust; her spirit
Lives on in Labour.

The Revolution
Freed America from Mad
King George - or did it?
