Plasma that digests just about "anything". This is a year or two
old, but I thought it was worth mentioning... perhaps again, perhaps for the first time here.

About Startech - a Waste Industry and Energy Company
Startech Environmental is a Waste Industry and Energy company engaged in the production and sale of its innovative, proprietary plasma processing equipment known as the Plasma Converter System™.

The Plasma Converter System safely and economically destroys wastes, no matter how hazardous or lethal, and turns them into useful and valuable products. In doing so, the System protects the environment and helps to improve the public health and safety. The System achieves closed-loop elemental recycling to safely and irreversibly destroy Municipal Solid Waste, organics and inorganics, solids, liquids and gases, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, industrial by-products and also items such as "e-waste," medical waste, chemical industry waste and other specialty wastes while converting many of them into useful commodity products that can include metals, a syn-gas energy product called Plasma Converted Gas (PCG)™ and also hydrogen for use and for sale.

Like I always say, technology will save us all, if it doesn't kill us first.

6. Hey - I am no luddite
The fact that pneumonia can be cured with penicillin

The fact that washing your hands reduces infection

The Automobile (I'm sorry, it is a force for the good. It just has A LOT of baggage with it. And the core technology hasn't been updated since it's inception.)

Technology is good - but it is amoral. We need to decide what to create and what not to.

40. There is only ONE long-term solution to the storage of radioactive waste from fission reactors. Updated at 6:19 PM

That solution is to build nuclear FUSION reactors.

You can take the waste from the FISSION reactors and feed it into the FUSION reactors, reducing it to simple plasma.

Eventually, someday, we will probably be able to use fusion reactors to produce more energy than it takes to run them.

But in the meantime, fusion reactors are the most efficient trash-incinerators within 93 million miles of Earth.

And they produce ALMOST no radioactive waste.

The only radioactive waste fusion reactors produce is when the shielding around them becomes too old and brittle to function, and must eventually be destroyed. And guess what? THAT can be put right into the reactor, too!
