ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT TO BE DRAWN UP BY TOMORROW:
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 12:08 PM by debbierlus
For Elliot Spitzer, Democratic Governor of NY, if he does not resign, over his involvement in being a client in a
prostitution ring....

Boy, how quick!

Yet, Bush, the man who ordered our soldiers to war on lies, the result being:

Over a MILLION Iraq citizens dead...

Millions more DISPLACED

Nearly 4000 US soldier dead

Tens upon Tens of thousands soldiers wounded

Bankrupted US treasury - massive Iraq war recession with a depression very likely to follow

BUSH is singing songs about brush & Brownie & breaking the law.....

Grotesque.

21. The simple truth is that Cheney & Bush have not been impeached because
the Dems don't want them to be.
I hate thinking that, but there doesn't seem to be any other reason for not going forward with the proceedings.

There's a lot of truth to be found in the linked thread, hisownpetard.

5. I am not surprised at all. Just naively hoping maybe the Dems will get a clue

And, realize that there is NO friendship among thieves, and they need to cut out their bipartisan bs and REPRESENT THE CONSTITUTION.

its not a matter of 'would look weak'.
They do 'look weak' and they 'act weak'

And unfortunately its too damn late to change those facts

16. Sadly, the country will be wallowing in the slimefest to have any REAL discussion about ANYTHING

There is a host of really important discussions this whole fiasco COULD facilitate:

1. America's hang up on sex, our hypocrisy surrounding the subject (porn being the largest internet business by zillions).

2. Bush's Iraq debacle that has led to INCREASED sex SLAVERY and many women being forced into prostitution for mere survival.

3. The topic of the original post: Impeachment of Bush & the entire criminal Bush family

4. Legalization of prostitution

5. The NSA spying program and the use of domestic surveillance as a modern tool of mass blackmail in the political system

And, many, many more. I am sure the progressive radio sites will do some excellent coverage of some of these topics, but the corporate MSM will wallow in the slime for a good long while.

11. Word of advice from one who has felt the flames
Equating the possession of testicles with courage is frowned upon in some quarters around here.

My ass still burns from the last time I did it.

:hi:

I'll have to come up with one of them "no apology apologies" if I do it again.

15. I not implying that courage is limited to those with testicles
or that 'lack/failure of testicles' explains lack of courage

The meekness of the elected Democrats is a disappointment whether or not they are endowed with balls.

19. Couldn't agree more
Nancy Pelosi sure as hell lacks 'em.

But so does Harry reid, Pat Leahy, and a host off other congressional Dems.

I'm just sayin there are those here who get a touch irritated at the analogy.

And I have felt their wrath.

The GOP are ruthless bastards, while the Dems seem to be more of the acquiescent type... I guess they think that Peace and Prosperity platforms mean that they have to take it in the ass on a daily basis.

7. I think DEMS in Congress could take a lesson here... IMPEACHMENT for Repubs as well
Let's get it all out in the open and start impeachment proceedings against deserving Repubs as well. Everyone knows they are more deserving than Spitzer's sexual indiscretions --at least his actions did not kill anyone. Can't say the same for Repubs.

14. They don't have the votes
They just want to keep this in the limelight for as long as they can. The pukes in NY haven't had a run of good luck lately so they want to enjoy this.

IMO Spitzer will resign and when the LG comes in it will end quietly.

Does Anyone remember Kucinich promised to Introduce Articles of Impeachment of Bush at the State of the Union?

Also what happened with the 9/11 Investigations on insider trading? This is what we need to bring down the whole cabal.

29. The irony is that Spitzer gets impeached, while our Democratic Speaker protects GOP war criminals
from being impeached.

She simply couldn't be any worse. Pelosi has fucked everyone -- the American people, the Constitution, the Congress, Iraqis, anyone else threatened with massive use of Neocon force -- and most especially the Democratic Party.

27. The whole story is fishy
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 01:06 PM by donkeyotay
"Because the focus was a high-ranking government official, prosecutors were required to seek the approval of the United States attorney general to proceed," they added. "Once they secured that permission, the investigation moved forward."

Horton doesn't buy it.

"Note that this prosecution was managed with staffers from the Public Integrity Section at the Department of Justice," Horton writes on his blog, "No Comment." "This section is now at the center of a major scandal concerning politically directed prosecutions. During the Bush Administration, his Justice Department has opened 5.6 cases against Democrats for every one involving a Republican."

Gov is moving massive, huge, national-security-threatening sums of money. Bank turns him in. IRS and DoJ get RIGHT on it. Bust yet another washington whore house - there are so many, but apparently some pose a risk to national security and others are run by it - and promptly leak it to the NYTs. I feel safer.

Did anyone see all the nitwork news go breakin-news code-red over Cunningham's link to a prostitution ring? At this point, I think the whole town is one giant prostitution ring - selling our country out day and night in so many ways.

Also, note that Spitzer was client #9. How lucky of him to have gotten in on the ground floor.

38. Thank you for pointing-out the irony.
Makes me think Spitzer should have stuck it out until they *did* file impeachment charges, let it bubble-up to the national media, and then use that to highlight the hypocrisy and relative crimes and gain more support for impeachment of Bush/Cheney.
