Al Franken getting a dose of dirty politics from Coleman

I'd like to see Al turn this into a hilarious joke.

Al Franken company faces $25,000 fine

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The state of New York fined the personal corporation of Democratic Senate candidate Al Franken $25,000 for not carrying workers' compensation insurance for almost three years.

The New York Workers' Compensation Board levied the fine against Alan Franken Inc. in August 2006 for failure to carry the insurance from June 2002 to March 2005.

(snip)

The fine was reported recently by Minnesota Democrats Exposed, a Web site sympathetic to incumbent Republican Sen. Norm Coleman, whom Franken is seeking to unseat in November.

(snip)

The corporation typically had anywhere from no employees to one or two part- or full-time employees at any one time, Barr said.

3. I looked at that the same way. And is the fine more than the cost of insurance?
Those jobs doubtfully would have been classified as hazardous. That distinction would belong to Coleman's staff: aiding & abetting.

4. So, the corporation sinned, paid a fine, and . . . ?
If this is the best Coleman's got to use against Franken, Al might as well start measuring Coleman's office for new drapes now.

5. Corporate officers can be exempted from Workman's comp
If the officers filed for a waiver they don't have to have workman's comp..Sometimes small corporations are only made up of officers...

6. In all likelihood
the company employees were sometimes Franken (full time) and sometimes an assistant (part time).
