I am so sick of liberal radio callers talking about 2008 candidates

Here on DU I can avoid this ahead of time bullshit but these callers go on and on about all their points of view . By the time the elections do arrive I hope everyone is sick of hearing Obama and Hillary and all the others standing in line .

And I agree. It makes for a permanent campaign. We just had midterms four months ago and we are already well into 08.

Makes all government that much more of a show. There is little time left for real work to accidentally get done.

A few weeks ago this place was in a panic over the possibility of AAR going off the air...along with the long running problem of getting any liberal or progressive viewpoints on the radio. Guess ya can't please 'em all.

Try popping onto the dial with news as opposed to talk...Pacifica, American Public Radio and the many interesting stations in the "Education Band"...between 88 and 92 on the FM. I can only handle so much of AAR these days...especially when it's about an election that is a year from getting rolling.

I blame the endless campaign professionals...those whose only paycheck comes from working for one candidate or another or lives off that campaign money as a consultant. There's also the corporate media that sees cheap and easy programming in hashing and rehashing the beauty poll numbesr and trying to play out a script they think they've written and control.

I'm already sick of the elections...and most of the babbling is ignored here. I am blissfully non-committed and am more convinced in that belief than ever. My focus is on what's going on on the local level. This is the year to look for new candidates, party build, network and work on the big jobs of not only holding our majorities but building on them. As far as the Presidential beauty show/demolition derby...wake me up sometime in January '08.

TODAY. About reigning chimperor in. About drawing a line in the sand that separates our policies and beliefs from the neocons. About forcing BINDING votes that expose the lies and hypocrisies of the right wing. I'm sick of all this '08 crap, because if we don't do the work that needs to be done TODAY, '08 is a dream. We won't stand a chance. We are spending money from a job we don't have yet.

17. That's the way I look at this .

I am concerned about NOW not 2 years down the road . Now in a sane world I would look ahead 2 years however we are not living in a sane world nore do we have sane people running this country .

One of these disasters becaome a reality and forget about 2009 .

We just went through months of campaigns for 2006 mid terms and look at how well this worked out , sure we won the majority and barely in the senate and so far nothing has changed , gone is the 6 for 06 ranting .

So if people what to count the chickens before they hatch then I say to you live in your dream world because reality is not what we have right now as far as political promises are concerned , it's a fucking game and nothing more .

I have been hearing the very same political promises for over 40 years and I see nothing changed at all , we are much worse off now than before .

Look at the educations system , look at the poverty , look at the economy , look at the trillions we owe . Look around at all of it but before you do make certain you go back through the last 40 years and see what was promised at the elections . I speak to those here who feel the 2008 elections should over ride all else right now .

15. It's perfectly understandable...

With only a ''size zero'' majority in the senate there is only so much in congress that can get done, so the main focus is getting a Democratic president elected and further power to correct the gargantuan mess. Any other focus is less productive, for now accept badgering republican senators to do the right thing and they won't so it's 08 the order of the day.
