What will you do with your tax rebate?
The goal is to get people to take the tax rebate Shrubby is giving us and buy shot we don't need to stimulate the economy. I won't be buying a TV or other toy...I will be putting into a Mutual Fund or something to try to stock away and get a little interest/dividends on it.

What will you be doing?

9. thinking of sending it back
If it works the way I think it does, I'll send it back. As I understand, it's an advance on this year's return. I may wind up out of work before the end of the year and the damn thing could turn into a liability when I file next year if that happens.

12. I will buy things from Americans
I will spend it at yard sales and second hand stores. That way I know the money will stay here. Until, at least, that person spends it at Walmart.

20. Throwing it at my credit cards.
For the next couple of months I anticipate spending money on food, electricity, rent, student laons, and paying off my credit cards. Even though new technologies make me drool, I'm not going to be partaking of any of that sort of thing.

Q3JR4.

21. put in an interest bearing account we keep for household emergencies.
LIke when a large appliance goes, such as my old dishwasher and washing machine. Dryer went last year; every year something else old wears out. Or we may need some repairs.

Having a little stash just for these occurrances helps hubby and me keep from worrying constantly. A little peace of mind is worth a lot to our quality of life nowadays...
